Use the  Fence Planter outdoors year-round, ensuring the removable drainage plug is set correctly for indoor or outdoor use. For outdoor use, allow excess water to drain freely and avoid leaving the planter standing in water for prolonged periods, primarily through winter.

Although frost- and UV-resistant, we recommend positioning the trough on a level surface and ensuring drainage remains clear to prevent waterlogging. The lightweight yet durable structure makes it easy to move when required, and the integrated wheels allow you to quickly reposition the planting to suit changing conditions or seasonal displays.

To keep the planter looking its best, wipe the surface clean using a damp cloth. The smooth anthracite finish is easy to maintain and will retain its crisp, modern appearance with minimal effort.

During busy periods, stock can sell through quickly. If we are temporarily out of stock, we can replenish from our supplier’s UK stock within approximately 10–12 working days.

The Deroma Millennium Anthracite 1m Fence Planter is ideal for adding height, privacy, and structure to modern gardens, patios, and commercial outdoor spaces. The tall format works particularly well for screening seating areas, dividing zones, framing entrances, or lining walkways with clean architectural planting.

For a sharp evergreen screen, plant structured shrubs such as Ilex crenata (a great box alternative), Euonymus, Pittosporum, Viburnum tinus or compact Portuguese laurel. These provide year-round coverage and create a crisp, contemporary look when planted in repeated runs.

Ornamental grasses are another excellent choice for this planter, especially if you want a softer screen with movement. Calamagrostis ‘Karl Foerster’, Miscanthus, Panicum and Pennisetum create a modern natural feel and look superb against the anthracite finish. Combine grasses with long-flowering perennials such as Salvia, Nepeta, Verbena or Echinacea for colour and pollinator-friendly interest through summer.

For a Mediterranean feel, plant tall lavender, rosemary and bay, or use small bamboo varieties to create a lush evergreen screen. The 1 metre length allows you to create long flowing runs, particularly effective along fences, patio edges or boundary lines.

For indigenous UK planting options, consider dogwood (Cornus) for winter stem colour, compact hawthorn, native viburnum or hazel for a more wildlife-friendly screening effect. Underplant with native-style favourites such as sedges, hardy geraniums, primroses, foxgloves or wild thyme to soften the surface and encourage pollinators.

For a low-maintenance contemporary scheme, plant a simple evergreen hedge-style run with one variety repeated throughout, then finish with seasonal bulbs such as alliums, narcissus or crocus for spring impact. The tall, architectural shape of this planter makes even minimal planting look intentional, premium, and professionally designed.

Parcel Delivery

Smaller products are delivered by parcel couriers, such as TNT and Parcelforce. Upon dispatch, we will notify you via email with the estimated day of delivery and forward you a tracking number.

Pallet Delivery

Larger products will be delivered by our own dedicated delivery drivers or by specialist carriers such as Palletways and ILS who will be given your contact details and instructed to book in delivery with you once your order reaches your local delivery depot.

Shipping Costs

We charge a flat rate of £20.00 for delivery to England, Wales and Central Scotland. We charge a flat rate of £50.00 for delivery to England, Wales and Central Scotland if your order includes any ADEZZ, FORNO or FURNS product.

We are not able to offer a flat rate of £20.00 for delivery to East Central Scotland, North and North East Scotland, West Scotland, Norther Ireland, ROI, Skye, Orkney Isles, Outer Hebrides, Shetland Isles, Inner Hebrides, Isle of White, Isle of Man and the Channel Isles and a surcharge will apply. Please note that you are responsible for arranging the return of your order and for the costs of returning your order to us unless we have delivered the item to you in error. All return items must have original tags and packaging; and not been used or modified.

What if My Order Arrives Damaged?

Our goal is to make buying online with Riverhill Garden Supplies easy, safe and efficient. Although extremely rare items can arrive damaged and we are conscious of this so it is very important for that you read the following.

Upon delivery, please carry out the following steps

• Remove the goods completely from their packaging
• Closely inspect the goods for damages or shortfalls
• Sign for the goods, accordingly, noting damages/shortfalls and refuse the goods
• Notify Riverhill Garden Supplies of any damages/shortfalls within 24 hours by telephoning the office on t 01732 522471. The office is open 7 days a week, from 8am to 10pm including Bank Holidays except Christmas Day. Providing that you have signed for the goods as damaged and refused the goods we will repeat and dispatch your order again or arrange a full refund

The courier is obliged to wait 15 minutes for you to carry out these checks if need be. No claim will be accepted if a clean signature is given. Any claim for damages/shortfall must be made within 24 hours.
