Product Care

The ADEZZ Hardwood MALAGA Rhombus Trough requires no additional treatment. However, if you wish to slow the natural ageing process and preserve the warm Garapa hardwood pigment, you may apply WOCA exterior oil (always follow the manufacturer's instructions).

Important

Please unpack the hardwood planter immediately upon delivery. Any moisture trapped between the packaging and the timber can cause irregular staining that is difficult to remove. All hardwoods gradually turn grey when exposed to sun, wind, and rain; the final colour depends partly on the wood's original tone.

Wood is a natural material that expands and contracts with changes in temperature and humidity. Regular oiling helps stabilise moisture levels and can reduce shrinkage or swelling.

All fixings used are stainless steel. As with almost all hardwoods, Garapa can react when it comes into contact with iron, resulting in dark discolouration that may look similar to mould. Ensure no metal shavings from tools fall onto the timber during installation, and avoid contact with lawn fertilisers or cement, as both may contain traces of iron that could stain the wood.

Do not move the planter once filled.

Planting Advice

Begin by covering the bottom of the planter with approximately 10 cm of hydro pellets to promote adequate drainage. Place a permeable anti-root membrane over the drainage layer, then fill with a suitable soil mix for your chosen plants.

Stock and Lead Times

Almost all hardwood planter orders placed with Riverhill Garden Supplies are fulfilled directly from ADEZZ’s central warehouse in Uden, Holland, which means lead times are broadly the same across all UK resellers. We place orders with ADEZZ every day, ensuring your order is submitted to Holland immediately. It allows us to secure any available stock straight away or, for made-to-order items, begin fabrication without delay. Our long-standing working relationship with ADEZZ helps ensure your order progresses quickly and efficiently.

If the planter is in stock at ADEZZ in Holland, delivery typically takes 10 days to 2 weeks. When fabrication is required, it usually takes around 2–4 weeks, followed by an additional 10 days for delivery.

On our website, we display all Hardwood Planters as “in stock” because ADEZZ’s inventory changes frequently. We are currently working on a real-time inventory. Generally, there is good availability of most sizes at the ADEZZ warehouse; however, during peak season, stock levels can fluctuate more quickly. If timing is essential, please get in touch with us, and we will check stock at both our Kent warehouse and the ADEZZ warehouse in Uden to provide the most up-to-date lead time.

Storage and Delivery Flexibility

We understand that customers often work to project schedules and may need flexibility. One advantage of ordering from Riverhill Garden Supplies is that we can hold stock at our warehouse near Tonbridge, Kent, until you are ready to take delivery. We can order well in advance of your project and store the planters at no additional cost, giving you complete control over when your items arrive while allowing us to manage delivery from within the UK.

Customers are also welcome to collect their orders directly from our storage facility near Tonbridge, where we can load vehicles at short notice using one of our forklift trucks.

Parcel Delivery

Smaller products are delivered by parcel couriers, such as TNT and Parcelforce. Upon dispatch, we will notify you via email with the estimated day of delivery and forward you a tracking number.

Pallet Delivery

Larger products will be delivered by our own dedicated delivery drivers or by specialist carriers such as Palletways and ILS who will be given your contact details and instructed to book in delivery with you once your order reaches your local delivery depot.

What if My Order Arrives Damaged?

Our goal is to make buying online with Riverhill Garden Supplies easy, safe and efficient. Although extremely rare items can arrive damaged and we are conscious of this so it is very important for that you read the following.

Upon delivery, please carry out the following steps

• Remove the goods completely from their packaging
• Closely inspect the goods for damages or shortfalls
• Sign for the goods, accordingly, noting damages/shortfalls and refuse the goods
• Notify Riverhill Garden Supplies of any damages/shortfalls within 24 hours by telephoning the office on t 01732 522471. The office is open 7 days a week, from 8am to 10pm including Bank Holidays except Christmas Day. Providing that you have signed for the goods as damaged and refused the goods we will repeat and dispatch your order again or arrange a full refund

The courier is obliged to wait 15 minutes for you to carry out these checks if need be. No claim will be accepted if a clean signature is given. Any claim for damages/shortfall must be made within 24 hours.
