The ADEZZ Corten Steel TOPIC Planter delivers a bold, modern planting solution that combines generous volume with refined European design. ADEZZ designs and manufactures the TOPIC in the Netherlands as part of its premium Corten Steel range, giving designers a planter that moves far beyond basic shapes and ordinary fabrication.
ADEZZ offers the TOPIC in three versatile sizes: D120cm × H60cm, D100cm × H80cm and D80cm × H60cm. These proportions allow you to create strong focal points, frame entrances, line pathways, and build layered planting schemes with precise visual rhythm.
ADEZZ fabricates every TOPIC planter from 2mm Corten Steel, category A S355JOWP, a high-grade weather-resistant steel developed for long-term outdoor use. When the steel meets the elements, it forms a self-protecting rust patina that seals the surface, prevents deeper corrosion and creates the warm, natural finish that landscape designers value.
The TOPIC’s smooth cylindrical form and subtle upper edge give the planter a calm, architectural presence that works beautifully in contemporary gardens, terraces, courtyards and commercial landscapes. The generous internal volume supports healthy root growth and lets you plant everything from specimen trees to layered mixed planting.
ADEZZ fits every TOPIC with integrated feet and drainage as standard, lifting the planter slightly above the ground to improve airflow, encourage water run-off and protect the base of the steel.
Strong, low-maintenance and designed to age beautifully, the ADEZZ Corten Steel TOPIC Planter provides a timeless planting solution that performs reliably in both private gardens and professional landscape projects.
Order online or by telephone. Our office is open Mon-Sat 8 am-10 pm including Bank Holidays except Christmas Day.

Click here to download the ADEZZ Contemporary Corten Steel Planters Information Sheet
ADEZZ manufactures its Corten Steel planters from a specialist steel alloy that naturally protects itself from corrosion. When you place the planter outdoors, oxygen and moisture react with the steel to form a stable protective rust layer. This layer seals the surface and prevents deeper corrosion, keeping the planter strong and structurally sound for many years.
ADEZZ supplies all Corten Steel planters rust-free. Once you expose the planter to the elements, the weathering process begins and usually takes 4 to 5 months, depending on rainfall, temperature, and exposure. During this time, the colour changes from dark grey to warm orange-brown, then settles into the rich natural patina that designers and landscapers value.
As the steel weathers, rust runoff can temporarily stain paving or stone. You can prevent marking by placing the planter on gravel, soil or another permeable surface until the patina stabilises.
ADEZZ fits every Corten Steel planter with hidden feet and drainage holes. These raise the planter slightly above the ground, allowing air to circulate underneath and water to drain away freely. This design protects the base and supports healthy root growth.
Install the planter on a flat, solid surface and leave at least 1cm of space around the base so moisture cannot become trapped. Do not fit an overflow pipe, as standing water inside the planter can accelerate corrosion.
When you plant, add a 10cm layer of gravel to the base, cover it with a permeable membrane, then add your compost or growing medium. This setup ensures excellent drainage and prevents excess moisture from reaching the steel.
Avoid using hydro pellets, as they retain water and reduce drainage efficiency. For best results, avoid placing Corten Steel planters in areas with heavy salt exposure, such as near the coast.
Once the planter has developed its final patina, you can leave it to weather naturally, or apply a rust stabiliser (Owatrol) to lock in the colour and prevent loose rust from transferring.
With proper installation and drainage, ADEZZ Corten Steel planters deliver a robust, low-maintenance, weatherproof planting solution that performs beautifully year after year.

Telephone Sevenoaks (01732)522471Lead Time
To our knowledge, no UK reseller stocks ADEZZ Corten Steel Planters in bulk. ADEZZ fulfils most orders directly from its central warehouse in Uden, Holland, ensuring consistent lead times across all resellers. While Riverhill Garden Supplies holds a small number of Corten Steel planters for display, ADEZZ supplies the majority of customer orders straight from Holland.
On our website, we list all ADEZZ Corten Steel Planters as “in stock,” with an indicative lead time of 10 days to 2 weeks, which reflects the typical delivery timeframe when ADEZZ holds stock in Holland. It is generally the case; if lead time matters to your project, we recommend contacting us before ordering so we can check live availability for you.
If ADEZZ does not have the planter in stock, they will make it to order, which adds a fabrication lead time of approximately 4 weeks before delivery to the UK.
Storage and Delivery Flexibility
We understand that customers like to plan ahead. An advantage of ordering from Riverhill Garden Supplies is that we can hold stock at our warehouse near Tonbridge, Kent, until you’re ready to take delivery.
We can order products well in advance of your project and store them at no additional cost until you’re ready. This allows us to take full control of delivery from the UK to anywhere in the UK, while giving you complete control over when your products arrive.
In addition, customers are welcome to collect their orders directly from our storage facility near Tonbridge, Kent, where we can load them at short notice using one of our forklift trucks.

Riverhill Garden Supplies — ADEZZ Specialist (UK)
In 2011, Riverhill Garden Supplies became the first business in the UK to retail ADEZZ products through the then sole importer, The Pot Company. Since 2019, we have worked directly with ADEZZ to supply their full range to customers across the UK.
More than just an online retailer
We
operate as more than just an online retailer. From our Kent warehouse
we handle extra-large orders, bespoke fabrications and phased or
delayed deliveries. We regularly store planters for customers until
sites are ready and then arrange tailored deliveries to suit
contractors, designers and private clients. We keep our approach simple
by combining flexibility, practical problem-solving and clear
communication.
Ordering direct from ADEZZ (Uden,
Holland)
As a dedicated ADEZZ partner, Riverhill Garden Supplies
combines deep product knowledge, accurate lead time advice and
dependable customer service. We place orders directly with ADEZZ’s
central warehouse in Uden, Holland, often daily during the high
season, which allows us to secure stock immediately or instruct fabrication
to begin without delay when ADEZZ needs to make a product to order.
Why we choose ADEZZ
We
choose to list ADEZZ products because their European craftsmanship,
precision fabrication and durable finishes meet the standards we
demand for our customers. ADEZZ designs Aluminium and Corten Steel
planters that combine clean contemporary design with
professional-grade construction, making them suitable for everything
from private gardens to large commercial landscapes.
Why ADEZZ Corten Steel stands apart
Corten
Steel planters are one of the most poorly replicated products in the
planter industry, with many cheaper alternatives failing to match proper
steel grade, welding quality and long-term performance. ADEZZ uses high-grade
3mm Corten Steel (S355JOWP) and applies precision welding,
accurate forming and strict quality control. This approach ensures
every planter weathers evenly, forms a proper protective patina and
remains structurally sound for decades. You can see the difference in
the finish, strength and consistency of every ADEZZ Corten Steel
planter.
How ADEZZ compares to UK-made
alternatives
We regularly speak with UK manufacturers who
offer Aluminium, Corten Steel, Fibreglass, Hardwood and coated steel
planters that attempt to copy ADEZZ designs. None of them match the welding
quality, surface finish or long-term durability that ADEZZ
consistently delivers.
ADEZZ also holds an extensive range of stock at its warehouse in Uden, Holland, which allows us to offer fast, reliable order fulfilment across hundreds of sizes, colours and designs — something UK manufacturers simply cannot replicate. Over the years, we have imported planters from further afield. While this sometimes reduced costs, it also confirmed what we already knew: quality suffered. Inferior coatings, thinner steel and inconsistent fabrication produced planters that failed to meet our standards, especially in Corten Steel and Aluminium.
ADEZZ remains our benchmark
These
experiences continue to reinforce our view that ADEZZ sets the benchmark
for European-made planters. Their craftsmanship, consistency and
reliability stand apart across Aluminium, Corten Steel, Hardwood,
Fibreglass and coated steel ranges.

Planting Ideas
Planting Ideas for ADEZZ Corten Steel TOPIC Planters
The tall, cylindrical form of the ADEZZ Corten Steel TOPIC Planter allows you to create bold, architectural planting in both contemporary and traditional garden designs. Its generous depth supports strong root systems and lets you build height, structure and seasonal interest in a single striking container.
For modern schemes, plant the TOPIC with architectural evergreens such as Phormium, Cordyline or upright Bamboo. These plants echo the planter’s clean lines and vertical proportions, creating a confident sculptural statement for terraces, entrances and courtyard gardens.
To soften the look, plant the TOPIC with flowing ornamental grasses such as Miscanthus, Pennisetum and Stipa tenuissima. These grasses move beautifully in the wind and contrast with the solid, weathered Corten Steel, adding texture and seasonal change.
For year-round structure, use Ilex crenata, Taxus or clipped box-style alternatives to create clean evergreen shapes. These plants suit the TOPIC’s contemporary silhouette and work especially well when you place the planters in pairs to frame doorways or pathways.
The larger sizes also support compact specimen trees. Use Amelanchier, Crab Apple, Rowan or small Birch to introduce height, spring blossom and autumn colour while keeping a refined, architectural feel.
For a more natural, wildlife-friendly scheme, combine ferns, Heuchera, Lavender and Salvia with trailing plants such as Vinca or Ivy. Let them spill gently over the rim to soften the steel form and create a balanced, relaxed planting display.
