Once exposed to the elements, the Dipott Corten Steel EXTEND Planter will weather and develop a protective layer of rust, revered by landscapers for its natural appearance.

Now available in 4 different sizes of varying width and height, skillfully fabricated ADEZZ Contemporary Corten Steel EXTEND Planters will enhance even the grandest designs. Drainage is standard and aided by tiny 18mm feet on the base. Stand the planters alone, frame a doorway or group together with other Corten Steel Planters.

Corten Steel, also known as weather-resistant steel, is a steel alloy made of iron with copper, silicon, nickel, and chromium added that is low-maintenance, weatherproof and durable.

The ADEZZ Corten Steel EXTEND Planter will arrive un-rusted. Once exposed to the elements the Corten Steel will naturally weather, this is known as the 'weathering process' (see image). Throughout the weathering process, please be aware that there will be 'run-off' from the Corten Steel that can cause staining.

After several months a protective layer of rust will form that is a natural orange-brown colour, this fixed coating will provide the planter with protection against further corrosion. Riverhill Garden Supplies recommend applying 'Owatrol' varnish once the weathering process has reached this final stage.

Important

• Ensure that there is adequate drainage (holes at the bottom are standard), no excess water should remain in the planter, the combination of oxygen and earth will further rust the planter
• Do not use hydro grains in the soil as they hold water
• Please unpack the Corten Steel Planter immediately after delivery so that any moisture between the packaging and the Corten Steel Planter does not remain sealed. Failure to do so will result in irregular rust and stains

Planting Advice

• Provide the base of the Corten Steel Planter with a layer of at least 35mm of pebbles
• Do not use an overflow pipe (no water should sit in the Corten Steel Planter)
• Place an anti-root cloth over the pebbles
• Top up with earth suitable for the chosen planting scheme

Dispatch Methods

Parcel Delivery

Smaller products are delivered by parcel couriers, such as TNT and Parcelforce. Upon dispatch, we will notify you via email with the estimated day of delivery and forward you a tracking number.

Pallet Delivery

Larger products will be delivered by our own dedicated delivery drivers or by specialist carriers such as Palletways and ILS who will be given your contact details and instructed to book in delivery with you once your order reaches your local delivery depot.

Shipping Costs

We charge a flat rate of £20.00 for delivery to England, Wales and Central Scotland. We charge a flat rate of £50.00 for delivery to England, Wales and Central Scotland if your order includes any ADEZZ, FORNO or FURNS product.

We are not able to offer a flat rate of £20.00 for delivery to East Central Scotland, North and North East Scotland, West Scotland, Norther Ireland, ROI, Skye, Orkney Isles, Outer Hebrides, Shetland Isles, Inner Hebrides, Isle of White, Isle of Man and the Channel Isles and a surcharge will apply. Please note that you are responsible for arranging the return of your order and for the costs of returning your order to us unless we have delivered the item to you in error. All return items must have original tags and packaging; and not been used or modified.

What if My Order Arrives Damaged?

Our goal is to make buying online with Riverhill Garden Supplies easy, safe and efficient. Although extremely rare items can arrive damaged and we are conscious of this so it is very important for that you read the following.

Upon delivery, please carry out the following steps

• Remove the goods completely from their packaging
• Closely inspect the goods for damages or shortfalls
• Sign for the goods, accordingly, noting damages/shortfalls and refuse the goods
• Notify Riverhill Garden Supplies of any damages/shortfalls within 24 hours by telephoning the office on t 01732 522471. The office is open 7 days a week, from 8am to 10pm including Bank Holidays except Christmas Day. Providing that you have signed for the goods as damaged and refused the goods we will repeat and dispatch your order again or arrange a full refund

The courier is obliged to wait 15 minutes for you to carry out these checks if need be. No claim will be accepted if a clean signature is given. Any claim for damages/shortfall must be made within 24 hours.
