Supplied flat-packed and ready to assemble, it offers excellent value while maintaining the high build quality expected from ADEZZ.

The planter uses 2mm-thick Corten Steel, Category A, type S355JOWP. Exposure to the elements causes the steel to develop a distinctive orange-brown patina. This natural layer of rust forms a protective coating that prevents further corrosion, giving corten steel its alternative name of weathering steel. Over time, weather conditions actively enhance both the appearance and durability of the planter.

Each CONNECT planter is delivered ready to assemble, with all nuts, bolts and clear instructions included. The system has been designed for straightforward self-assembly, resulting in a strong, professional finish. Integrated reinforcements help prevent deformation, ensuring long-term stability even in exposed outdoor settings. The planter is low-maintenance and designed for many years of use, backed by a 5-year manufacturer’s warranty.

The CARREZ Tall Square Planter is bottomless by default, providing excellent drainage and generous planting depth. An optional base is available to order where a closed bottom is required. Its tall, square form makes it particularly effective for dividing and screening outdoor spaces and for framing doorways and displaying plants at height, adding structure and a strong architectural presence to the garden.

Bottomless Version (Standard)

The standard ADEZZ Corten Steel CONNECT CARREZ Planter comes without a base, allowing water to drain freely into the ground. Ensure good natural drainage, as water should never remain inside a bottomless Corten steel planter. Fill the planter with suitable soil without compacting it, and avoid hydro pellets because they retain excess moisture. Unpack the planter immediately on delivery to prevent moisture marks from forming inside the packaging. Over the first few months, the planter develops a warm, protective rust patina, and some surface runoff is normal. You may apply a stabilising product, such as Owatrol, to fix the finish once the patina has fully formed.

With Bottom Plate Installed

When you add the optional Bottom Plate, the planter functions as a traditional enclosed container and needs controlled drainage. Begin with a drainage layer such as pebbles, add a permeable root membrane, and keep all drainage holes clear so excess water can escape. Add soil loosely and avoid tamping it down. As with all Corten steel products, unpack the planter immediately, and allow the natural patina to develop over time. You may use maintenance products such as rust accelerators, cleaners, or protectants if you wish to speed up or stabilise the finish.

Stock and Lead Times

We hold a limited stock of ADEZZ CONNECT Planters at our Kent warehouse, and in most cases, we order directly from ADEZZ in Holland. ADEZZ usually carries a good stock of all CONNECT sizes, including the optional Bottom Plate, so we list these items as “in stock” on our website with a typical lead time of around 10 days to 2 weeks.

Almost all CONNECT planter orders placed with Riverhill Garden Supplies ship from ADEZZ’s central warehouse in Uden, Holland, which is why lead times are similar across all UK resellers. We place orders with ADEZZ every day, submitting your order immediately so we can secure available stock straight away or begin fabrication for made-to-order items without delay. Our long-standing relationship with ADEZZ helps your order move quickly and efficiently through their system.

If ADEZZ has the planter in stock, delivery takes 10 days to 2 weeks. If fabrication is required, production typically takes 2–4 weeks, followed by a further 10 days for delivery.

While we show CONNECT Planters as “in stock” on the website because ADEZZ updates their inventory frequently, availability can change quickly—especially in peak season. If your timing is critical, please telephone us, and we will check live stock levels in both our Kent warehouse and the ADEZZ warehouse in Uden to give you the most accurate lead time.

Storage and Delivery Flexibility

We understand that customers often work to project schedules and may need flexibility. One advantage of ordering from Riverhill Garden Supplies is that we can hold stock at our warehouse near Tonbridge, Kent, until you are ready to take delivery. We can order well in advance of your project and store the planters at no additional cost, giving you complete control over when your items arrive while allowing us to manage delivery from within the UK.

Customers are also welcome to collect their orders directly from our storage facility near Tonbridge, where we can load vehicles at short notice using one of our forklift trucks.

The tall square form of the ADEZZ CARREZ CONNECT planter makes it ideal for framing entrances and pathways, creating a strong and welcoming first impression. Planting at height draws the eye upwards and clearly showcases colour, texture and structure without overpowering the space.

Compact evergreens such as bay, box or small-leaved yew suit these planter sizes particularly well. When positioned as a matching pair on either side of a doorway or gate, they create a neat, balanced entrance that remains easy to maintain.

Underplanting or seasonal planting introduces colour and softness. Lavender, salvias, heucheras and seasonal bedding plants add vibrant colour and foliage that contrasts beautifully with the warm orange-brown tones of corten steel.

Parcel Delivery

Smaller products are delivered by parcel couriers, such as TNT and Parcelforce. Upon dispatch, we will notify you via email with the estimated day of delivery and forward you a tracking number.

Pallet Delivery

Larger products will be delivered by our own dedicated delivery drivers or by specialist carriers such as Palletways and ILS who will be given your contact details and instructed to book in delivery with you once your order reaches your local delivery depot.

We charge a flat rate of £20.00 for delivery to England, Wales and Central Scotland. We charge a flat rate of £50.00 for delivery to England, Wales and Central Scotland if your order includes any ADEZZ, FORNO or FURNS product.

What if My Order Arrives Damaged?

Our goal is to make buying online with Riverhill Garden Supplies easy, safe and efficient. Although extremely rare items can arrive damaged and we are conscious of this so it is very important for that you read the following.

Upon delivery, please carry out the following steps

• Remove the goods completely from their packaging
• Closely inspect the goods for damages or shortfalls
• Sign for the goods, accordingly, noting damages/shortfalls and refuse the goods
• Notify Riverhill Garden Supplies of any damages/shortfalls within 24 hours by telephoning the office on t 01732 522471. The office is open 7 days a week, from 8am to 10pm including Bank Holidays except Christmas Day. Providing that you have signed for the goods as damaged and refused the goods we will repeat and dispatch your order again or arrange a full refund

The courier is obliged to wait 15 minutes for you to carry out these checks if need be. No claim will be accepted if a clean signature is given. Any claim for damages/shortfall must be made within 24 hours.
