Riverhill Garden Supplies – ADEZZ Aluminium Planters
Stock and Lead Times
To our knowledge, no UK reseller stocks ADEZZ Aluminium Planters in bulk. Most orders are fulfilled directly from ADEZZ’s central warehouse in Uden, Holland, which means lead times are consistent across all resellers.
Riverhill Garden Supplies places daily orders with ADEZZ, ensuring your order is submitted to Holland immediately. It means we secure available stock right away or, for made-to-order products, we instruct fabrication to begin immediately. Our close working relationship with ADEZZ ensures your order progresses quickly and efficiently.
- If in stock at ADEZZ(Holland): delivery typically takes 10 days-2 weeks
- If made to order: fabrication takes around 4 weeks, plus an additional 10 days for delivery
- Standard colours (as a guide only): more often in stock
- New trend colours (as a guide only): nearly always made to order
- On our website, we display standard colours as "in stock" and trend colours as "available to order."
The way we display ADEZZ stock is for general guidance only. Stock levels are ever-changing, so if the lead time is a key factor in placing an order with us, it is always best to contact us first to get a more precise lead time—we will check the inventory at our Kent warehouse and at the ADEZZ warehouse in Uden, Holland, for you.

We can order products well in advance of your project and store them at no additional cost until you’re ready. This allows us to take full control of delivery from the UK to anywhere in the UK, while giving you complete control over when your products arrive.

Planting Ideas for ADEZZ Aluminium CARREZ Cubed Planters
Thank you for taking the time to read this and perhaps for trusting us — well, me, Jeremy — with a few planting ideas. It’s a cold autumn Friday night, and I’ve chosen work over a run at the gym. Work, in this case, means writing this little piece on planting ideas, rather than giving in to the temptation of letting AI do it for me. I feel that if you’re spending this amount on quality planters from the ADEZZ Aluminium range, you deserve a bit of genuine, first-hand knowledge. Admittedly, despite my spelling being relatively good, I have run this through Grammarly!
I will never use Buxus sempervirens again. As a specialist supplier of large garden planters, we’ve never focused heavily on the plants themselves — our focus has always been on the garden products you put them in — but my plant knowledge runs deep. I spent the best part of 30 years selling plants at garden shows up and down the country, and while Riverhill Garden Supplies now specialises solely in planters, that experience still comes in handy.
When the website first went live about 25 years ago, customers often asked whether we sold plants. Initially, we didn’t, but eventually we devoted an online section to supplying them through a now-defunct category called Instant Topiary. Instant Topiary was precisely what it sounded like — our range of garden planters, planted up at our premises and ready to put straight out in situ. The range proved equally popular with both retail and commercial customers — sales were almost perfectly 50/50.
That section proved incredibly popular and, despite the price, the planters flew out. Anything from a simple Photinia in a glazed pot at £150.00 to Japanese Cloud Trees running into the thousands, or full lines of mature yew hedging in troughs up to 3 metres long — it all sold. Some of the main lines became so popular that we began planting the Instant Topiary ranges in swathes, confident they’d be gone almost as soon as they were ready.
Being the businessman that I am, I reintroduced the Instant Topiary range briefly during lockdown, when social distancing was a necessity. Troughs acted as barrier planters for outdoor spaces, and we couldn’t keep up with demand — they were like the face masks of the horticultural world. Heidi and I even drove all the way to Aberdeenshire with seventy-odd one-metre troughs for a luxury hotel preparing to reopen to the public after the pandemic.
The reintroduction was for lockdown only, and I have no intention of bringing it back — it served its purpose at the time, but our focus now is firmly where it belongs: on quality garden products to put the plants in, not the plants themselves.
So, going back to Buxus sempervirens, between around 1999 and 2005, the British public had an insatiable appetite for it. Topiary was formal; it oozed class. A neat pair of tall, modern planters framing a restaurant doorway looked the part, and everyone wanted that look. We quickly picked up on this cyclical trend and began offering dozens of lines in different sizes of clipped balls and cones. It was smart, simple, and sold incredibly well.
The biggest project we ever took on was at Soho Square in London, which at the time was the home of the FA. We planted up around sixty Lechuza self-watering planters for their offices — a mix of formal shapes, all perfectly matched and looking immaculate when they went in. For a while, it was everything formal topiary was supposed to be: bright, architectural, and very British. North, South, East, and West Balconies, all with London Landmarks as a backdrop wherever you looked — premium real estate, and the images of these planters adorned the Instant Topiary section of the website.
Then, not long after the installation, the blight came. Within months, every single plant was gone — not one survived. We replaced the entire lot with Ilex crenata, which at the time wasn’t widely used as a Buxus substitute, and it cost us dearly. The blight was a real turning point for us — and for Buxus sempervirens. Once bitten, twice shy, as they say. After seeing the profits — and the spirit — of that entire project wiped out, we learned our lesson the hard way and never touched Buxus again. It marked the point where we began actively seeking better, more resilient alternatives that would stand the test of time — for us and for our customers alike.
Recently, David Male, a garden designer who covers Central and North London, placed an order over the telephone for a quantity of Anthracite Grey planters. We had a good chat, and the old Soho Square disaster job came up. He, too, won’t use Buxus anymore — it seems we’re not alone there. David now uses Ilex crenata for its tiny leaves that he neatly prunes into shape, and Euonymus japonicus ‘Microphyllus’ as another reliable alternative. If he’s after a more Mediterranean-looking evergreen, he turns to Pittosporum tobira ‘Nanum’, which has larger, glossier leaves and requires far less pruning than traditional topiary.
So David, who’s far more of a hands-on plantsman than any of us in the office nowadays, has really helped with this article. We’re going to recommend his selections in our planting suggestions — practical, attractive, and far less risky than the traditional topiary options ever were.
From the Riverhill Garden Supplies team, we all have our own preferences too: hands-on experience from our Instant Topiary days. My go-to is Bay trees, Heidi loves Ligustrum, and Daniel always chooses Silver Holly.
We also wanted to include a few UK indigenous species in our recommendations — not only because they’re resilient and well-suited to the climate, but because they support pollinators and local wildlife. Mixing native species with formal evergreens can create a softer, more natural look while maintaining a balanced, structured design.
And just for the record, you’ll never see us mixing red and white flowering plants in the same scheme. We’ve always avoided that combination; it’s the old “blood and bandages” superstition, and while it might sound silly, we still stick by it. At garden shows, we’d even go so far as to keep red and white flowers at opposite ends of the stand. Call us superstitious — but it’s served us well so far.
As for the luxury hotel in Aberdeenshire, no, they didn’t have red and white flowers together. That was just bad luck. I broke my ankle walking around Loch Muick after that delivery, and because we had two vehicles, I had no choice but to drive straight back to Sevenoaks Hospital. But that’s another story.

Whichever plants you choose, thoughtful selection will ensure your ADEZZ Aluminium Planters look beautiful and balanced throughout the seasons.
I also have two 4-metre-long troughs made to bespoke sizes by ADEZZ. At the time of writing this, after seven years, they still sit outside my home in Kent and look absolutely first class. The same Hidcote Lavender sits in them year after year — already cut back for winter — and once again, they haven’t disappointed with their display.
Finally, thank you for taking the time to read this. If you’re planning to invest in ADEZZ Aluminium Planters, give us a call at the office and mention this article — we’ll take 5% off your order as a thank-you from all of us at Riverhill Garden Supplies.

Riverhill Garden Supplies — ADEZZ Specialist (UK)
In 2011, Riverhill Garden Supplies became the first business in the UK to retail ADEZZ products through the then sole importer, The Pot Company. Since 2019, we have worked directly with ADEZZ to supply their full range to customers across the UK.
More than just an online retailer
We are more than just an online retailer — with our Kent warehouse and hands-on logistics, we can handle extra-large orders, bespoke pieces, and phased or delayed deliveries. We regularly store planters for customers until sites are ready and then arrange tailored delivery to suit contractors, designers, or private clients. Our approach is simple: a flexible, can-do attitude and clear communication.
Ordering direct from ADEZZ (Uden, Holland)
As a dedicated ambassador for the ADEZZ brand, Riverhill Garden Supplies combines unrivalled product knowledge with accurate lead time advice and dependable customer service. We place orders directly with ADEZZ’s central warehouse in Uden, Holland — and every day during high season — allowing stock to be secured immediately, or, for made-to-order products, fabrication to begin without delay.
Why we choose ADEZZ
We choose to list ADEZZ products because their European craftsmanship, precision fabrication, and durable powder-coated finishes meet the standard we want to offer to our customers. ADEZZ Aluminium Planters are lightweight yet robust, built to last, and suitable for both contemporary and traditional settings.
How ADEZZ compares to UK-made alternatives
Often we are approached by UK suppliers who ask us to resell their own ranges of planters — Aluminium, Corten Steel, Fibreglass, Hardwood, and coated steel — many of which attempt to replicate ADEZZ designs. However, none have matched the quality of welding, finish, or long-term durability that ADEZZ consistently achieves. Just as importantly, no UK manufacturer can compete with the extensive inventory held at ADEZZ’s warehouse in Uden, Holland, which enables quick, reliable order fulfilment.
Over the years, we have even imported our own planters from further afield. While this occasionally helped reduce costs, it also confirmed what we already knew: the quality suffered. Inferior coatings, thinner materials, and less precise fabrication led to products that did not meet our standards.
From our own experience within the industry, this is most evident with Corten Steel and Aluminium products in the UK, where local fabrication often falls short in both finish and consistency. ADEZZ, however, are very strong on quality control — ADEZZ workmanship, attention to detail, and consistency set them apart from every other manufacturer we have dealt with.
ADEZZ remains our benchmark
These experiences have only strengthened our confidence in ADEZZ as the benchmark for European-made planters — a brand whose craftsmanship, precision, and reliability, in our opinion, remain unmatched across Aluminium, Corten Steel, Hardwood, Fibreglass, and Coated Steel planter ranges.
Experienced UK ADEZZ reseller
Whether you are sourcing modern Aluminium Planters, custom-made fabrications, or need professional guidance on ADEZZ colours, finishes, and lead times, Riverhill Garden Supplies remains one of the UK’s most experienced and reliable ADEZZ resellers — offering a smooth, dependable service from order to delivery.
